After 82 days of silent hallways and empty classrooms throughout the period under the Conditional Movement Control Order (MCO), it was a delight to welcome all of our children back to Kinderland. The extensive preparation and planning put into making our preschools re-entry safe and welcoming, is a testament of the care and commitment of all Kinderland teachers and staff.

Welcoming back the children while maintaining social distancing.

First week back was to normalize the school day, have children reacclimatise to the centre, and reengage positive connections with other children, teachers and staff. All of these are essential for successful learning and growth, moving forwards. This seems to have been a success, despite the masks, handwashing, directional flow in hallways and physical distancing. It was wonderful to see shining eyes peeking over the tops of masks, as children arrived ready for the new school year. Thank you to all parents and guardians for helping to prepare your children for the first day of school, as this had a huge impact on success of the centre reopening.

Temperature taking and hand sanitising are important SOP being carried out every day.

There is no doubt that we have new routines to become familiar with, but Kinderland is confident in being able to start the school year positively. Together, as Kinderland teachers, staff, children and families, we will make the centre a safe and healthy place for children to thrive. We are committed to the quality services and care that Kinderland offers, providing a preschool that our children and their families can trust.

Our children are happy meeting friends and teachers after returning to school.

We are happy to be back.

Here’s to staying safe and healthy, and having a return to in-person learning.
