In 2013, the Malaysian Government has launched several tax incentives to support organisations in implementing and promoting diversity and work-life integration initiatives. These incentives are to provide support to companies in implementing childcare facilities and allowances in line with their employee retention and engagement initiatives as well as to contribute to increasing enrolment of children in childcare centres.
Having an employer sponsored on-site childcare centre allow employees peace of mind knowing their child is well taken care for in a convenient, safe, high-quality school environment. When employees face an emergency, the centre allows child back-up care. This in turn increases productivity, reducing absenteeism and decreases employee turnover.
