10th February 2024 marks the Lunar New Year welcoming the year of the Dragon. This year Kinderland Preschool Malaysia organized an extra special celebration to be enjoyed by all.

Six centres around Klang Valley area participated in a unison lion dance and Lunar New Year celebration on the same day. The children were entranced by the lion dance performance by Khuan Loke Dragon and Lion Dance Association, 13 time champion of World Lion Dance Championship. As the gongs and drums echoed in the respective preschools, the children did not pass the opportunity to dance along.

Each centre has prepared plenty of activities for all to enjoy. There were centres that presented a history lesson on Lunar New Year. Some even conducted thematic games and Chinese calligraphy corners for parents and children to test their skills. Other centres showcased their children’s talents by doing dances accompanied by popular Lunar New Year songs.

Red Xuan papers and red arrow darts games were part of Kinderland Preschool @ Setia Impian’s Lunar New Year celebration.
The highlight of the event was when the parents, children, and teachers spent some time enjoying delicious food prepared by centres and brought in by the parents. It was a successful event in bringing together families to celebrate an important festival within the community.
Parents and children of Kinderland Preschool @ Bangsar were spoilt for choice during their celebration! Food always brings people closer.
