This December, Kinderland’s Holiday Programme took children aged three to six on an exciting five-day journey around the world through Kinderland Globetrotters. Designed to spark curiosity and global awareness, the programme immersed children in the cultures, music, food, movement, and art of five countries — South Africa, Italy, Brazil, New Zealand, and Spain — with each day dedicated to a new destination.

Sawubona! Kinderland Preschool @ Bangsar and Kinderland Preschool @ USJ children explored South African culture through colourful crafts and creative activities inspired by traditional art and heritage in our Globetrotter Holiday Programme.
The adventure began with South Africa, where children explored diverse geographical biomes and animal habitats. Through hands-on activities like creating animal footprints using salt dough and tracking them around the centre, children developed logical thinking and observation skills. The day came alive with a drum circle session using maracas, claves, and bongos, followed by making Melktert, no-bake milk tarts and designing vibrant African ceremonial masks.
On the second day, children “travelled” to Italy, where they first learned about Venetian gondolas through floating paper boat experiments. Younger children created colourful mosaic art, while older ones designed Venetian masks. The day ended on a sweet note as children made their own gelato using real frozen fruits.

Ciao bella! From Venetian masks to homemade gelato fun, Kinderland children at Maisson Ara Damansara and Denai Alam explored Italian culture hands-on.
Brazil took centre stage on the third day, where children played “I Spy” to identify iconic symbols like football and macaws. They learned about the Amazon Rainforest by creating and labelling its layers, experienced the joy of Rio Carnival through dance, and enjoyed making chocolate brigadeiros and tropical fruit smoothies.

Olá! Through their Amazon Rainforest project, Kinderland Preschool @ USJ and Kinderland Preschool @ PJ Sec.14’s children learned about ecosystems while working together as a group.
In New Zealand, children discovered Māori culture and nature appreciation through songs, storytelling, and hands-on activities such as making poi balls, Matariki stars, and even a mini volcanic eruption inspired by Mount Ruapehu — ending the day with a delicious upside-down kiwi cake.

From creating their own Matariki (guiding stars) and poi balls to replicating the Mt Ruapehu volcanic eruption, Kinderland children at Denai Alam, Setia Impian and PJ Sec.14 explored New Zealand through an exciting cultural adventure.
The journey concluded in Spain, that started with a traditional game called Mar y Tierra – a simple listening and jumping game which the children repeatedly played. The children continued with Spanish food tasting using staple ingredients found in Spain, created azulejos mosaic tile art and DIY castanets using paper plate and bottle caps. The day ended with a fun-filled Kinderland version of La Tomatina using coloured water balloons.

¡Hola! Games, art, tastes, and “tomatoes” brought Spanish culture to life for Kinderland children at Setia Impian, Maisson Ara Damansara and Bangsar.
Across five enriching days, Kinderland Globetrotters offered children meaningful cultural exposure while nurturing cognitive, motor, creative, and social development — turning learning into a joyful global adventure.
