Our Character-Building A–Z begins in Pre-Nursery 2 at age 3, guiding children to develop good character through everyday phrases and actions, all organized around the alphabet.
Kinderland’s educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that learning extends beyond academics alone. While learning outcomes matter, who a child becomes matters just as much.
Character development — values such as kindness, empathy, respect, responsibility, and compassion — begins forming from a very young age. These qualities grow through daily experiences, relationships, and gentle guidance. They are shaped by the environment children grow up in, the people they learn from, and the values they see modelled around them.
Alongside Character Building as one of the core programme, Kinderland’s curriculum continues to nurture values across every learning area. From language learning to KinderFit physical education, each experience supports children’s personal growth and character formation. We believe that learning should nurture both the mind and the heart, helping children grow not only into capable learners, but also kind and caring individuals.
Why We Start Early
These experiences are embedded in their minds, which they will eventually model into. They learn kindness through kindness shown to them. They learn respect through how they are treated. They learn responsibility through small, everyday opportunities to care, share, and contribute.
Starting early helps children grow up seeing compassion, empathy, and respect as part of normal daily life — not as rules, but as values they naturally practise.

Even learning about the environment and respecting nature nurtures empathetic children, which is essential for fostering a kinder, more connected world.
At Kinderland, teaching children to be kind, compassionate, and emotionally aware is just as important as supporting their academic learning. We see both as equally important parts of a child’s development.
A Value Shared with Our Parents
This belief is one we share closely with our parent community.
In our recent parents’ survey, 75% of our parents shared that character building and development is the most important area they want their children to emulate .
It reflects what many families feel today — that education should help children grow into good people, not just good students.
Growing with Malaysia’s Education Vision

The ‘Kurikulum Prasekolah 2026’ by the Ministry of Education sets a clear direction for holistic learning — nurturing physical growth, emotional well-being, character, and creativity.
The Ministry of Education Malaysia will be introducing ‘Character Education’ into the national curriculum by 2027 (as reported by New Straits Times) , and Kinderland’s curriculum is already moving in the same direction. Our little learners are confident, well-prepared, and ready for a smooth transition to primary school.
Growing Good People, Together
Education is a shared journey with families — one that goes beyond academics. By embedding character building into early education, children grow into kind, confident, responsible, and socially aware individuals. These values form the foundation not only for a child’s lifelong development, but for stronger communities and a more resilient nation. Because when children grow with character, they grow into citizens who shape a better future.
